For those that struggled to digest the White Paper (or not), it’s important to remember the the details will be all the more clear as the consultation process begins.
This month the Gambling Commission intends to publish six consultations Most notably 4 which relate directly to White Paper proposals, those being;
> Age-verification in land-based premises.
> Remote game design, proposed changes to the Remote technical Standards.
> Direct marketing, focusing on marketing to the vulnerable.
> Financial risk and vulnerability checks (or ‘affordability checks’ if you’re old school).
These four consultations will also be joined by two that are not related to the Review but have been previously flagged:
> rules around Personal Management Licences
> procedures for Regulatory Panels.
Details are on the Commission blog found HERE
The time is now to ensure your compliance to current requirements and review the potential impact of these changes.
