The dates for the statutory levy and online slots stakes have been confirmed finally!

As confirmed in the Betting & Gaming Council’s AGM on February 27th 2025, the online slot stake limits will come into force in April and May.

The Levy will range from 0.1% to 1.1% of an operators GGY and the first payment will be due on October 1st 2025. This will vary dependent on the Operators type of gambling on offer as well as the running costs and product risks.

The maximum slot stakes will be implemented in two steps, with the £5 maximum stake coming into effect on 9th April 2025, and the £2 maximum for 18 to 24 year olds will come into effect from 21 May 2025.

This news was announced by Baroness Twycross today at the Betting & Gaming Councils annual general meeting but the Gambling Commission are expected to make a release imminently.
